Vincent A. DeIorio is an attorney from
White Plains, with private practices in Purchase and New York City. Mr. DeIorio
was admitted to the New York State Bar Association in 1955 and performed General Practice of
Law until 1974. Mr. DeIorio was appointed to the New York State Court
of Claims in 1974 and served there until 1978, when he reentered private practice in New York City.
His activities in State and American Bar Associations include
Columbian Lawyers Association of Westchester County; Former member
of the Committee on Character and Fitness, Fifth Judicial Department
from 1971-1974; Former Member of Council of Judicial Associations
of the Judicial Section of New York State Bar Association from 1975-1978.
Mr. DeIorio's involvement in government as well as other areas
includes Chairman of Commission to Reorganize Oneida County Government
- Charter form of government proposed, approved and adopted (1961);
Chairman of Administrative Code Commission for Oneida County (1962);
Former member and past Chairman of Neighborhood Services of Utica,
Services of Utica Community Action, Inc; Elected District Delegate
to New York State Constitutional Convention (44th Senatorial District)
November 1966; Participant in the American Assembly in the Thornfield
Conference Center in 1967 (subject report "The New York State Legislature");
Counsel to the Municipal Housing Authority of the City of Utica
from 1967-1974; Chairman of the Oneida County Republican Committee
from 1968-1972; Member of the Presidential Selection Advisory Committee
for Utica College of Syracuse University in 1970; Member of the
Board of Assessment Review for the City of White Plains from 1984-1994
and Chairman from 1987-1988 and 1991-1992; Chairman of the Statewide
Commission on Reapportionment & Redistricting of Congressional
Districts of the State of New York, 1992; Named to the Board of
Directors of the New York State Energy Research and Development
Authority (1999). Named as Chairman of the Authority August 13,
2001.

Alumni Association of Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity; Charter member
and past Director of the Utica Zoological Society; Member of the
Kiwanis Club of Utica; Member of the YMCA Board of Trustees; Member
and Vice President of the Central Association for the Blind; Member
and Vice President of the Utica College Foundation; Member of the
Board for the Boy's Club of Utica; Member of the Board of Advisors
for the Westchester Lighthouse; Battalion Chief-Honorary Fire Officers
Association, New York City Inc.; Recipient of the 1997 Ellis Island
Medal of Honor and an ordained Knight del'Ordine de Sante Maurizio
a Lazzaro, a Dynastic Order dating back to the tenth century.
Mr. DeIorio, a native of Utica, is a graduate of Utica College, of
Syracuse University, and of the University of Buffalo Law School.
