New York Energy $mart^SM Program Evaluation

A 24-member System Benefits Charge Advisory Group was named by the Department of Public Service as the independent evaluator of the New York Energy $mart^SM Program. Day-to-day evaluation activities are conducted by NYSERDA's evaluation team, which includes internal NYSERDA staff and external evaluation assistance contractors.

Evaluation activities by the NYSERDA evaluation team for the New York Energy $mart^SM Program portfolio and the individual programs that comprise it include annual reports that detail status and evaluation of the programs' budget and spending, energy savings and other program benefits, program theories and logics, program processes, and markets analyses. Budget status updates and energy savings progress are reported throughout the year.

Other evaluation-related reports are the Revised Operating Plan for New York Energy $mart^SM Programs that sets forth program goals and specific programs and actions to meet them and the Low Income Energy Affordability Program Evaluation and Status Report, which evaluates progress made by selected programs toward meeting the needs of New York's low-income families.
