Participating in the Program

The Customer-Sited Tier currently encompasses four technologies: solar photovoltaics (PV), small wind turbines, anaerobic digesters, and fuel cells.

Customers interested in installing PV or small wind will work through one of NYSERDA’s eligible installers. Please visit www.powernaturally.org for further information on these incentive programs.

Anaerobic Digester Gas-to-Electric projects are supported through PON 1146. Financial incentives in the form of capacity buy-down and performance-based payments are available. $11 million is available through 2009, with up to $1 million available per anaerobic digester system. Funding is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please see the PON for full details and application forms.

Fuel cell projects are supported through PON 1150. $11.2 million is available thorugh May 2009 to support the installation and operation of fuel cell systems, with up to $1million per fuel cell system. Please see the PON for full details and application forms.
