NYS Smart Grid ConsortiumThe Consortium was founded in 2008 when leaders determined that meaningful progress required the inclusion of all stakeholders to define and work toward a common vision. The Consortium represents a key public-private partnership to promote broad statewide implementation of the smart grid. New York Energy Efficiency Clearinghouse for Institutional CustomersEconomic Recovery InformationNYSERDA is providing information as a service to help New Yorkers take advantage of the opportunities offered by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. NY - Battery and Energy Storage Technology Consortium (NY-BEST)The NY Best Consortium will be a collection of New York universities and companies and will use the research grants to advance the commercialization of battery and energy storage technologies. Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS)A Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) is a policy that seeks to increase the proportion of renewable electricity used by retail customers. New York State’s goal is to reach 25% by 2013. Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI)The Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, or RGGI, is an agreement among ten Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic States (Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from power plants. Heat Smart NYBy coordinating efforts, the agencies that make up the Governor's Heat Smart NY Interagency Task Force hope to simplify the process of finding assistance and unite resources under one direction and theme, Heat Smart NY.
